Associate Recognition
Certellus Corporation would not be possible without the dedicated support of our associate team. In order for you to know them better we will highlight a person at various times throughout the year.
We are proud to introduce James York a dedicated and capable software engineering professional with over 30 years. He has worked on a wide array of hardware platforms including analog computers, hybrids, and patch panel technologies. This rich background continues to provide Jim, and those that he serves with a complete understanding for solutions to today's technology problems. A little know fact is that Jim installed one of the first point of sales systems for McDonald's Hamburgers, and a automated hotel front desk system for Holiday Inn in Memphis over 30 year ago. One cannot help but be impressed with such a major accomplishment and contribution to the realm of information technology. Most of his career has been dedicated to sharing these life experiences and providing answers to those committed to self and corporate improvement. Jim's love, aside from his family, is software testing. During the course of his career he has conducted over 500 training classes on the topic and most recently developed a program entitled "Testing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Software".
Jim's quick wit, dry humor and effective communications skills make his consulting and training engagements a true delight to be a part of. In his own words, "It never ceases to amaze me how people want to keep secrets and not share knowledge with anyone. I don’t know maybe that is job security. But how can we work together if we are not all in agreement on where we are going? This includes the clients as well. I want to share what I know with people today. I want to make everyone’s job easier. After all, we are a team aren’t we?"
